Here’s how Satva Fund has been making a difference recently…
The Araliya Trust, with Satva Fund, offers monthly stipends to ten disadvantaged students aged 10 to 22 in Sri Lanka, preventing educational discontinuation due to financial challenges.
Satva Fund expanded its stipend initiative in July 2023, supporting eight disadvantaged students in Colombo, Haputale, Deniyaya, Gampaha, Bandarawala, and Ambalantota.
Satva Fund supports the School for the Blind in Sri Lanka by providing new cricket equipment, enhancing the sports experience for visually-impaired children.
The ECSAT Autism Project, supported by Satva Fund, assists 68 children with autism and special needs in Galle and Matara districts.
In August 2023, Satva Fund partnered with Drops of Light, providing funds to support the education of two 16-year-old students in Weligama and Matara preparing for their 2025 Advanced Level examinations.
Satva Fund funded the renovation of the Home Science Room at Nuffield School for Deaf and Blind in Kaithadi, Jaffna, in July 2023.
In August 2023, Satva Fund donated two pediatric weighing scales (gifted to Satva Fund by generous donors) to the President of the Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians for use in a pediatric hospital in Sri Lanka.
Satva Fund sponsors meals for around 100 patients and caregivers traveling long distances for outpatient cancer treatments at Kandy Cancer Hospital, in collaboration with Community Meal Share Trust.
In September 2023, Satva Fund partnered with the Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT) to finance the construction of 10 sanitary toilets for tea plantation workers in Lionorn and Bogawanthalawa estates in Sri Lanka's Hatton District.
Satva Fund is supporting the completion of a home in Weligama, Southern Province, for a single mother and her two daughters.
